I have a 60w laser and for most images starting at 20 is too high. RDworks doesn't have the greatest dithering process, but if you read the manual it says dot graphic dithering is for higher quality. This engraving was done with photograv settings ed density to 0
histogram black to 0 white to 255 and gamma to 1. 300 DPI 57% power 300 mm sec and interval set to 0.0847.
It seems the quality is getting worse even with these proven settings

This seems to be a common problem with Chinese lasers. I had to keep bugging tech support before I got any response. Mine still isn't fixed, but at least they are working on it

I have to have very high-quality engravings as I bought this laser for a monument business. I will let you know what happens with the tube, and in the meantime, I am going to try your photograv settings.
