Hi Thanks for the reply, The first engraving i did i had max power and a slow speed with a long burn time, the engraving came out good but was black with a light bubbly sort of pattern around it, I have seen on other sites that the engraving should come out white as you just want to bleach the slate...

i am looking for help with the correct settings for engraving slate, i have one of the new 15w laser engravers with with the Acan software, nice little machine and have had some nice results with other materials but am struggling with slate, any help will be appreciated.
