Benbox software installation

Hi All, I just received my 2500 mw Banggood Laser Engraver and cannot seem to get the software installed on the machine.
So far all I can get is the blue dot to come on and focus the beam. The rest of the controls are not responding.
The instructions say to use Com 1 and load the Nano software but that does not work.
Is there anyone with experience installing Benbox software on this type of DIY laser engraver?
