My company just bought a Universal Laser 40W machine. After setting up the art with Corel what is the best way to make sure the laser hits my material correctly. One tutorial showed using the Focus Button which I played around with but its still unclear how to get it perfect. I figured there'd be sensors that would see the material on the bed, but apparently no. Is it trial and error? Moving the material and moving the red dot??

Yes,As we know co2 laser is invisible, we cannot get the position of laser dot while laser engraving machine working.The red dot pointer helps you to clear the accurate laser position before cutting and engraving, to greatly reduce the deviation and to save your time and material waste.
