Hey all,
I'm new here in the forum, but have been working with lasers for a couple/few years now. My full-time job is with Glockstore doing custom laser engraving on guns (metal). I'm using an Epilog Fibermark 24 (30 watt) and a Laserstar 3500 / 3600 / 3800 G4 Series (80 watt). I have a bit of experience with CO2 lasers as well, but can't remember the models.
Soooo I'm now interested in getting a laser of my own. The epilog Fusion series that include both fiber and CO2 functions in the same machine are attractive, but pricey... ($55K-65K if I remember correctly). I haven't investigated too many other companies, especially thinking of the various Chinese companies out there. I've heard that the Chinese options often come with little/no customer support and rely on my knowledge/experience to navigate through getting them set up well and getting best quality out of them. That about sums up where I'm at and what I'm looking for... any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
