grayscale issue

hello, i've just buyed my new DIY 8000 2.5w laser engraver, but i've some issue when i try to print a image on wood.
to explain better the problem i show you the result of a simple greyscale. why it do this?
pwm for set laser max intensity work fine, but for produce greyscale not...
i've try different g code program sender, but it isn't the problem..
help please

(my engraver is like eleksmaker a3 form)

PS: don't look at the picture.. i've try to attach the laser on pwm output but it doesn't work

What software are you using? Try laserGRBL or the paid T2laser programs. They allow you to set the lowest power for white setting so the gray scale runs just to marking white up to your highest black setting. I haven't figured out how to upload a image here but go to thingiverse.com , search laser and you will find a grayscale wheel that will help you find the high and low settings. Good luck
