Hi, I'm new to the forum!
I need to find out if venting is needed when using a 50W Raycus fiber laser engraver/cutter. We just set one up at home and we'll be working with metals and plastics. We're currently engraving steel business cards and I do smell a bit of hot material when the laser is in use.
Where is the best place to find air quality measures we may need to take? My research shows that good ventilation systems are needed when using CO2 lasers and when working with wood. But I'm not finding venting recommendations for fiber laser engravers.
We live in a loft/open space with no separate rooms and my partner set this up about 20 feet from where I cook, so I want to establish a healthy working space. I already have 2 small HEPA filters around the house, one in my office and one in the bedroom. Not sure if this is adequate.
Knowledgeable help is greatly appreciated!
