Laser swapping

Hi all, laser noob here. I am looking at buying my first cheap laser diode engraving kit.
I am wondering, if I get a cheapo kit like this on ebay:

Can I easily swap the provided 500mW laser for, a 6w one like this?:

I would guess power supply might be the only thing to get in the way but they are both 12v so I am hoping easy swap right?

I am looking to scrape some savings in.
