K40 thin plastics and possible adjustments; help

Post by SamanthaH » Mon Apr 13, 2020 9:40 pm

Hi guys,

Trying to learn to cut thin plastics. In this case, acetal (POM).

Using a K40 ($340 Preenex), and can't seem to get clean results. Some melting / jagged edges. It's not just the nature of the material, as I'm able to cut this quite cleanly on a Thunder Laser.

Album here:

(Focus mainly on the cut in the middle of the photo, that's one of my better results so far- '99 20.')

What can I try? Is it not reasonable to expect to get great results from a laser like this?
TIA

Hey, thanks for this post. I am also working on this problem and I think plastic is a very big problem nowadays. For that, I am writing an article also which I am completing with the help of assignment writing service uk and I hope I will complete it ASAP. Thanks.
