Laser Etching Tumbler on Rotary Device - Image Crooked

We purchased a BOSS laser and we're laser etching tumblers on a rotary setup. The image is rotated slightly even when squaring up the travel axis of the laser to the rotary system. Logically, if everything is square, the image should be square, but the strange part is… even if we rotate the base to compensate for this “crooked” image, it still remains crooked. Then, of course the more a tumbler isn't square with the travel of the laser, the more distorted the image ends up being.

For now, we're rotating the image in Lightburn software to compensate by 1.2 degrees but we shouldn't have to do this - and is another possibility for human error.

See attached – please let us know what might be causing a crooked image in your opinion.
