Chinese Red/Black 60W - max tube current?

I have just commissioned my laser and am getting conflicting information about the max current for the tube to ensure maximum life.
On one hand I have read that 11-12mA is the usable maximum and somewhere else has said that 28mA is ok to still get years of life.
The laser has the Ruida RDC6442S controller and I am currently experimenting at maxPower set to 35% that equates to 8mA tube current - but I am reluctant to increase it too much until I can get some more information about what the tubes are capable of.
