I have a small home based business doing wooden door hangers and monograms. Up until now, I have cut all my pieces with a jigsaw. However, my business has simply grown too much for me to continue this primitive way of production. I've been reading up on the laser cutter/engravers, I need a machine that will do a fairly large piece, is the laser machine the best option for me? TIA
Who has the machine?
Who have the manufacturer of laser machine introduction?
Could you tell me if you have a way.
thank you

Re: Silly newbie question
How thick do you cut? What materials? Different woods engrave/cut differently. You need to provide those details for help. If 1/4 inch plywood, 8 X 10 inches, a 40 watt hobby unit set up correctly would do it Probably at jigsaw speeds. If you want to cut 2 X 4's none will do it. Remember there is a verticle limit since the beam is "V" shaped because of focal point focusing (inverted V coming out the bottom). Wood will get smoke stained so there is still some cleanup but probably no more than a jigsaw.
