Hi,
Maybe you can try a kind of material called Hard polycarbonate, and there are absorbing dye in the material. The protective band is from 400nm~547nm. The transmissivity of visible light is 69.4%. The price is 620$/square meters. Some laser goggles are made of this material too.
Hope the material can solve your problem.
Thanks &
Best Regards

Put it in a thick opaque box with a webcam inside. Maybe be the cheapest option, and allow proper fume extraction.

I'm in a similar situation. Just bought:
http://www.banggood.com/2500mW-A3-30x40 ... ds=myorder
It has a 445nm violet laser. I'm wondering what safety goggles would be good for looking at it to focus the laser and if I want to watch it burn stuff.
I found the following by searching the net. Does anyone know if these would be appropriate? Or can anyone recommend something?
