RDWorks Acceleration Values

Post by diggerdg »

I just setup my Chinese 50W CO2 laser (blue one on eBay) which uses RDWorks software for control. Test circles are coming out slightly oval. From other posts with similar problem, it recommended checking values of min/max acceleration to check if set too high. I am new to the metric system and have no idea what is correct. Current settings (unchanged from software install) are min acc (mm/2s) at 400 and max at 3000. Can someone provide some direction as to proper values?

Thanks, was unaware that software had this feature. However still have problem. I do not know password or were to find it. When I it "OK" I get a "Password Error" message and can not continue. Tried "Password Settings" under Config and got error message "Communication Error". How do I find the Vendor password to use?

Additional Info: Have tried several trail and error things to try to determine the vendor password without success. Did find that had to have PC connected to laser to eliminate the "Communication Error" message. Under the "Password Settings" Config dropdown now get window that has a box for entering password that says Unlock Key, however it does not give a key. Software does appear to run machine but still can not get into the Vendor section to modify the stepper values.

RDWorks Acceleration Values

Post by Kalisahaf »

I know how to pull out a joint displacement as a varible Nodedisp. But is there any way to pull out joint velocity and acceleration values as varibles? I appreciate your answeres?

Sincerely,

Considering the Monport laser for its user-friendly interface, high quality, and affordability could help address the oval-shaped output you're experiencing with your Chinese 50W CO2 laser, controlled by RDWorks software. Start by adjusting the acceleration settings gradually, lowering the minimum acceleration (min acc) from 400 mm/2s to around 200 mm/2s and adjusting the maximum acceleration (max acc) accordingly. Experimentation within a reasonable range, such as 1000 to 2000 mm/2s for max acc, may help achieve more circular test circles. For further assistance, Monport's customer support or online forums may provide guidance tailored to your specific machine and software. https://monportlaser.com/collections/co ... ka374VZjm3
