Today my laser stop cutting through 6mm Birch Plywood and 6mm MDF.
I've check the alignment of all the mirrors and that's all perfect and Clean.
I also pulsed into the 10mm acrylic and that was perfectly straight.
I also checked the power supply and pressed the test button and got the green light.
In order for me to cut I had to set the laser @95% Power and Speed of 3.
The laser has 1000 Hours on the tube. The laser is 2 years old.
The mA meter reads 23.
Could I have a bad tube???
Or is the power supply gone bad??

Thanks for the help

Steven

Hi Steven,

It seems that the laser tube have loss of power.
The ammeter have reading of 23,so the laser power supply should be fine.
If the laser tube have lost power so much as you said,i'm afraid it became bad now.
To check the laser tube, please check the Beam pattern of laser tube by laser a dot on cardboard from the output of laser tube using 30% power.
There's a bag of thing that is the test result for this laser tube inside the rear cover.See below.

To laser a dot, please operate the LCD panel, set max power as 30% from Max-power button, then click the pulse button.

Hi Steven,

Do you check the Beam pattern for the laser tube?
Please let me know if the laser tube outputs a circle(laser beam) but not a solid round which is bad?
It's ok if you want replace with another brand of laser tube, but if it's co2 glass laser tube, its life is almost the same, it is about 2500~4000 hours.
