Import DXF in Inches ---20151203

Post by Matthew »

It looks like RD doesn't correctly import a DXF that is in inches. You have something 12" long, it imports as 12mm long.

The correct way to handle this is that if there isn't a flag in the DXF file, you should ask the user to specify the units. If there is a flag in the DXF file, then follow that. Right now, I think RD assumes that the file is ALWAYS in mm.

Hi Matt
Good question for importing a DXF file into the RDworks that it gave you a wrong size
Please see below picture to know where to set the unit for DXF file according to its default unit
If your file was set to inches unit after it exports, please select the inch unit in the config setting
if your file was set to mm unit after it exports, please select the inch unit in the config setting
Hope it will be help for you, thanks
