How to install the HR laser head and adjust its focal distance--20161008

So I watched the video looks like you just stick it in.

Question

. Dobyou just stick it in the mqchine qnd push it all the way up?

Does it matter how far in or out it is?

How far away from material should laser head be when cutting or engraving?

Ok I understand but when installing the laser heads in the machine do I push them all the way in or is there a specific distance to insert. Or does it even matter..

Also when we say focal distance 6mm or 1mm does this mean for me to bring material within 6mm or 1mm of laser head?

The high res head should have come with its own focus strip, its around 3mm....did you get one with the head? if not you can make your own using the tapered step guide that comes with the machine, if you dont have one, i can send you a file to cut your own using the standard head

Can you please confirm what size lens to use with the HR laser head? Is it the same 2" (50.8mm) lens that is used with the standard head?

Thanks!
