Laser Engraver

Post by laser10 »

Hi
I am new to the laser engraving subject, however I am looking for a small desktop, and preferably cheaper, laser engraver. I am going to be using the engraver to manufacture ID's and access cards for my employees. An expert I talked to suggested that poly carbonate film is good for security purposes and that's why I was planning to use it. I am not sure if I can buy any engraver, or if there is any specific company's that produce engravers for poly carbonate. I am also not sure about what company's produce good quality engravers and I was hoping someone could give me some general advice on the subject. Thanks

In use there is little force on the bearing - the laser exerting no cutting force - the design seems to rely on Loctite to retain the bearing against a shoulder
