Engraving glas, settings

Post by Jonpeder »

Hi!

I have a Nova 35 80 watt by Thunder Laser.

I was just wondering what settings you guys use when engraving in glas?

When I use the one in the parameters given by Thunder Laser (http://www.thunderlaser.com/upload/down ... 80watt.pdf) the engraved area is full of small splinters. And yes, I have tried the trick using moist paper.

Looking forward to hear from you!

hi,

Maybe the parameters supplier offered you is not suitable for glass engraving, if you want to get correct information, you can go to this website:

Good day!

For glass engraving, there're four tips for you try.
1. Using moist paper;and you know about that.
2. The interval please set to 0.1,too small will led the small splinters.see below.

3. If the breadth of the engraving are is under 100mm,please just use speed from 200mm/s to 400mm/s.
4. Do not blow the air when engraving.

Hope it will help.
