Laser cuttering on Acrylic alloy/Pvc
Hello all I was unable to find this answer elsewhere, so I figured I would see if someone could help me out. I am looking to engrave on Boltaron (info found here Boltaron), and I know that laser engraving PVC is a no no, but engraving acrylic is ok. I was wondering since this is PVC/Acrylic Alloy if it would work. Again I do not wish to cut just engrave an image. Thanks all in advance.

I'd ask them if the outer surface is acrylic or pvc. You don't see many alloys in plastic. My guess is its on the OK side as it looks like it's for fire sensitive products and pvc wouldn't be great for that.

I disagree with my brother here, I think it's similar to kydex most likely. Engraving lightly might be OK, but I personally would pass on this material.....if I did wish to pursue, I'd find something like maybe cheap unpainted steel (paint can lid maybe) and put it in the way of your exhaust....if it starts corrroding your machine is too.
