12 points need to be considered when using laser engraver machine

The laser engraver machine is a kind of laser marker machine. During the use and maintenance, some points need to be well considered to make the working of machine more stable.
1. The laser engraver machine should be well grounded.
The laser source and machine body must have good grounding protection. A dedicated ground wire of less than 4 Ω should be taken as ground wire. The necessity of grounding is:
(1). It can guarantee the normal working of laser source
(2). It can extend the lifespan of laser tube.
(3). It can prevent the jump of the machine caused by external machine.
(4). It can prevent the circuit damage caused by high voltage discharge.
2.cooling water of laser engraver machine should be smooth
Whether tap water or circulating water from pump, the water must remain flowing. The cooling water takes heat generated by laser tube out. The higher the water temperature is, the lower the light output power (15-20 °C water temperature is better) will be; when the water is destroyed, the tube end will burst due to the heat accumulated in the laser cavity, even the laser source will be damaged. Therefore, it is necessary to check if the cooling water is blocked at any time. When the water pipe has a hard fold (dead bend) or falls and the pump fails to work, it must be repaired in time to avoid power loss or even equipment damage.
3.clean and keep the exhaust smooth
Cleaning and maintenance of the machine is a necessary condition for the normal operation of machine. The guide rails are high-precision core component. it must be wiped clean after polishing to keep the bearings clean and lubricated; each bearing should be lubricated regularly to make the driving device flexible to prolong the service life of the machine.
4.ambient temperature and humidity
The ambient temperature should be within the range of 5-35 °C. Noted if used in an environment below freezing, measurements must be taken as below:
(1). to Prevent the circulating water in laser tube from freezing, and the water must be completely discharged after the shutdown;
(2) When starting, the laser current must be preheated for more than 5 minutes, the warming time in rainy and humid environments should be longer. After dehumidification, it is necessary to increase the high voltage to prevent breakdown of the high voltage circuit.
5.the correct use of laser high voltage button
When the laser high voltage button is turned on, the laser source is in standby. When circumstances of manual illumination or computer malfunction occurs, it emits laser and does not intentionally cause harm. Therefore, turn off the laser high voltage button(laser current can not be turned off) every time when one work is completed, prohibit the operator from leaving when the machine is under working to avoid accidents, it is recommended that the continuous working time does not exceed 5 hours with a 30 minutes break.
6. Away from high power and strong vibration equipment
sudden high power interference can cause failure to machine, though rare, it should be avoided. Therefore, keep away from large electric welders, giant electric mixers and large power transmission and transformation equipment, etc. So is strong vibration equipment, such as forging presses, vibrations, etc. caused by walking of close-range vehicles and the obvious jitter of the ground is very harmful for the precise engraving.

7. lightning attack protection
Lightning protection measures for buildings should be reliable.
Special recommendation: In places where the grid is unstable (such as voltage fluctuations exceeding 5%), please install a regulated power supply with a capacity of at least 3000W to prevent sudden voltage fluctuations and burn down of circuits or computers.
8.control PC should be well maintained
The control PC is mainly used for control of the engraving machine. Do not use a dedicated computer other than installing the necessary graphic design software. the computer is equipped with network card and anti-virus firewall, it will seriously affect the speed of controller. Do not install an antivirus firewall on the control computer. When network card is required for data communication, disable the network card before starting the engraver.
9.maintenance of guide rail
The movement of guide rail collects a large amount of dust generated due to the material to be processed. Wipe the original lubricating oil and dust on the rail with a cotton cloth, and then apply a layer of lubricating oil on the surface and side of the rail. Maintenance cycle: about one week.
10.maintenance of fan
After the fan has been in operation for a period of time, a large amount of dust will accumulate in the fan and exhaust pipe, which will affect the exhaust efficiency of the fan and cause a large amount of smoke.
Maintenance method: Loosen the connecting hose of exhaust pipe and fan, remove the exhaust pipe, and clean the dust on exhaust pipe and fan.
Maintenance period: about one month.
11.Screw fastening:
After the motion system works for a period of time, the screws at the joint will be loose which will affect the stability of the mechanical movement. Maintenance method: Tighten the screws one by one with the supplied tools. Maintenance period: about one month.
12.maintenance of lens:
After the machine has been working for a period of time, the lens will adhere to the surface due to the working environment, which will reduce the reflectivity of reflective lens and transmittance of the lens, and ultimately affect the working power of the laser source. Maintenance method: Gently wipe the lens surface with absorbent cotton and ethanol to remove dust.
