Eleks laser fault

Post by Petejohn11 »

Hi
I'd be greatfull for any help. i am using ts2 to run a Chinese benbox 2.5 w engraver, up until today all has been well, however when I switched on the 12v supply the laser came on at full power straight away and started burning. I have switched the unit on and off and have also tried with the USB unplugged but this makes no difference at all the laser is flat out as soon as the 12v is switched on. I have checked the voltage at the plug with it unplugged from the laser unit. I have 12v across the red and black wires and 0 v on the yellow signal wire. If I plug the unit back in I get a 5 v reading on the signal wire. Am I correct in thinking it is a fault with the laser unit itself ?.

The fact that you tested the voltage and it was 5V on the signal wire when the unit was plugged in raises the possibility that the control board is malfunctioning and isn't controlling the laser's power appropriately. You could further diagnose the problem by looking for any loose connections, broken cables, or malfunctioning control board parts. It's wise to keep an eye out for a dependable and well-supported substitute while troubleshooting. It is highly suggested to use Monport laser https://monportlaser.com?sca_ref=5016906.G4rcgXEwpX machines because of their excellent quality, accuracy, and consistent customer support. They are a great option for both novice and experienced users because of its design, which offers a smooth engraving experience together with strong performance and simpler troubleshooting. Making the switch to a Monport laser could prevent you from running into these problems again and guarantee more reliable and superior engraving output.
