What Factors Will Affect the Service Life and Machining Accuracy of Tube Laser Cutting Machine?

1. The wear between the mechanical bearings of the laser pipe cutting machine in use will also affect the service life. During the use process, lubricant can be regularly applied to each gear bearing to reduce the wear of the machine and keep the machine running normally.

2. The working environment of the laser pipe cutting machine should be cleaned frequently. When the equipment is processing workpieces, it will produce a lot of processing waste dust. Irregular cleaning will cause dust accumulation and affect normal equipment operation. In addition, it is also necessary to check the straightness of the rail of the tube laser cutting machine and the flatness of the machine tool, and timely adjust if abnormal. Otherwise, it will increase the cutting error value of the workpiece, seriously affect the cutting quality and reduce the cutting speed.

3. The cutting head of the laser pipe cutting machine needs careful protection, and the main part is the cutting head. The cutting head is a very fragile and easily damaged part of the laser pipe cutting machine. In the process of use, the cutting head should be prevented from collision and cleaned and maintained regularly.

In addition, some factors should be paid attention to in daily use to avoid affecting the processing accuracy of the tube laser cutting machine.

1. The size of light spot after laser beam condensation. After the laser beam is gathered, the size of the spot will affect the cutting accuracy. If the light spot is smaller, the cutting accuracy is higher, and the minimum light spot can reach 0.01mm. If the gap after cutting is also very small, it means that the laser cutting machine has very high accuracy and quality.

2. Material thickness. Since the laser beam is tapered, the slit cut is also tapered. The thickness of the material will also affect the cutting accuracy. Under this condition, the greater the thickness of the workpiece, the lower the precision will be, and the larger the kerf will be. For example, the precision of materials with a thickness of 0.2mm will be much smaller than that of materials with a thickness of 2mm.

3. Accuracy of the workbench. The displacement accuracy of the workbench will also affect the processing accuracy of the product. If the accuracy of the workbench is very high, the cutting accuracy will also be improved. Therefore, the accuracy of the workbench is also a very important factor to measure the accuracy of the laser generator. If the accuracy of the worktable is uneven or other reasons will also lead to high-precision laser cutting effect.

4. The cutting materials are different. The different materials of the workpiece will also affect the accuracy of the laser cutter. In the same case, the precision of stainless steel cutting and aluminum cutting will be very different. The precision of stainless steel cutting will be higher, and the cut surface will be smoother. In addition, even if the workpiece is made of the same material, the processing accuracy will be different if the material composition is different. The laser with different laser power shall be selected for workpieces made of different materials, which is also one of the ways to avoid continuous workpiece cutting by laser pipe cutting machine.

5. Processing speed. If the processing speed is too fast, the area may not be cut through, the section is relatively thick, and solutes are easily produced on the cutting surface. If the processing speed is too slow, the excessive cutting surface will be rough and the corners will melt, affecting the cutting efficiency. Therefore, timely adjust the processing speed to achieve the best cutting accuracy.

6. Power of laser tube cutting machine. The output power of the machine is different. Most of the common medium and low power machines are 500W and 1000W, and the high power machines are more than 2000W. The metal pipe cutting machine with power below 1000W is suitable for cutting carbon steel products with thickness below 10mm and stainless steel products with thickness below 5mm. These two types of products have excellent cutting quality and fast cutting speed under the corresponding material thickness, which can ensure the working efficiency and cost saving conditions of laser cutting. When these two materials exceed the applicable cutting thickness, the cutting speed will be slower, the cutting quality will become worse, and thicker materials will not be able to cut. In contrast, if the thickness is less than the applicable cutting thickness, such as 1mm stainless steel, the cutting quality will be very good, and it can be applied to the downstream link without subsequent processing.
