EzCad plugins

Post by lukes07 »

Hi everyone,

I am learning to work with EzCad (2.14) and I am now at Laser menu where a lot of plugins are used. In the manual the usage is described not so good for some of them; I have understood few but I still have more to go.

Does anybody here have more experience with laser plugins RingTextMark, RotaryMark, RotateTextMark, SplitMark2, ProjectMark ?

Or do you have a better documentation than in original manual ?

Do you know about other plugins and how to add/install them ? It's enough only to copy in the ezcad/plug folder ?

Regarding your question about EzCad plugins: For the plugins RingTextMark, RotaryMark, RotateTextMark, SplitMark2, and ProjectMark, it’s often a bit tricky as the manual might not provide enough detail. RingTextMark and RotateTextMark are typically used for marking text in circular patterns or rotating text during the marking process, so experiment with different settings to see how the text adjusts. RotaryMark is used for marking on cylindrical objects, so make sure your rotary device is properly set up and calibrated. SplitMark2 is usually for splitting large jobs into smaller sections, which can be particularly useful for high-precision work or large pieces. ProjectMark can be used for more complex marking tasks that involve multiple steps or elements. As for adding or installing new plugins, you’re correct that most of the time, it’s sufficient to copy the plugin files into the ezcad/plug folder. However, make sure you restart EzCad after copying the files to ensure they are recognized by the software. For better documentation, you might find more detailed guides or tutorials from user communities, forums, or even YouTube tutorials. These resources often provide practical insights and tips that are not covered in the official manuals. Hope this helps and best of luck with your laser work!
