Laser Engraver Forum

Hi y'all! I'm still very much a newbie with the laser. Only been using it about a month or two and I'm trying to design something to be cut out of wood on the laser and can't figure out how to do it. Hopefully someone will be able to help me. I'm sure y'all have seen the votive candle holders with a design cut out of the sides, that I'm having no problems with. What I'm having a booger of a time with are the joints. I'm wanting them to join/hinge together with a somewhat rounded edge versus a hard squared edge. I've included a picture of what I'm talking about. When you look at it you don't see the dark burnt edges of the wood created by the laser. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
