Fiber Laser Marking with part moving

Post by aleffast »

Hi! I'm new here and I bought an 100W Fiberlaser machine that came with EzCAD 2.0. My question is, can I mark parts in motion? I mean, I want to mark while the part is moving, I search on manual and I think that is possible using just the program. My machine don't have any encoders, I just want to buy a conveyor belt to put this idea (if it's possible) to work.

My fiberlaser is the same on photo.

I'm grateful to anyone that helps. ;)

Welcome! It's great to hear about your new 100W Fiberlaser machine. While you're exploring marking parts in motion, I'd like to suggest considering Monport lasers as well. Monport lasers are known for their user-friendly interface, high quality, and affordability, making them an excellent option for various laser applications. You can explore their laser products https://monportlaser.com/collections/co ... ka374VZjm3 As for your question, marking parts in motion is indeed possible with EzCAD 2.0, even without encoders on your machine. By using a conveyor belt, you can synchronize the movement of the part with the laser marking process, allowing for efficient marking while the part is in motion. However, it's essential to ensure proper calibration and synchronization between the conveyor belt speed and the laser marking parameters to achieve accurate results. If you need further assistance or advice on implementing this setup, consulting with the manufacturer or seeking guidance from online forums dedicated to laser marking may provide valuable insights. Nonetheless, considering Monport lasers could offer you a reliable and efficient solution for your marking needs.

Hi! Welcome to the forum. Yes, it is possible to mark parts in motion using EzCAD 2.0 with your 100W fiber laser. The software supports marking on moving objects, and a conveyor belt can help implement this setup. Although your machine doesn't have encoders, you can still achieve this with precise timing and alignment.

Additionally, you might want to consider the Monport laser for its excellent quality and affordability. It's easy to use and could be a great addition to your setup. Check it out here: https://monportlaser.com/?sca_ref=5031521.ka374VZjm3 .

Hi there!

Congratulations on your new 100W Fiber laser machine with EzCAD 2.0! Marking parts in motion is indeed possible, but it requires precise synchronization. While EzCAD does support marking on the fly, implementing this with a conveyor belt without encoders can be challenging. Encoders are typically used to ensure accurate positioning and timing, which are crucial for consistent marking quality.

However, if you're set on trying this out, you can experiment with the speed settings of your conveyor belt and the laser's marking speed. You'll need to manually synchronize the movement to the laser's marking cycle. It might take some trial and error to get it right, and results may vary depending on the consistency of your conveyor belt speed.

I've recently started using a Monport laser https://bit.ly/48Fxwm7, and it's been a fantastic experience. Monport lasers offer excellent performance and are user-friendly, making them a great alternative if you're considering future upgrades or need another reliable machine for different applications. Their support team is also very responsive and helpful, which could be beneficial as you explore more advanced laser marking techniques.

Good luck with your marking project, and happy engraving!
