CO2 lasers

I have been reading alot regarding the CO2 lasers.But it is hard to choose..
I am will use mainly for cutting cardboard, but also cut trough 4mm of acrylic and engrave acrylic and wood.
Anyway, I do use an iMac and do photoshop and illustrator works here.
I dont have alot of money.

I too use Mac and illustrator to do design but have to use a PC to connect to my laser. If you find a way of doing it please post it I have had no luck and would love to get rid of the PC.
