Re: Laser mirror alignment and lens focusing

One of the worst problems you encounter with misaligned mirrors is inconsitent cutting power and wrong cutting angles. 1. Yes, as you want the laser beam to go down exactly 90° and into the center of the lens. 2. Yes and no. You want the beam to stay in the same spot on the first and second mirror w...

Re: Problem Black dust on laser tube!

Hi, yes of course most likely at the red wire/anode side of the tube. The wires may be soldered or clipped to the terminals. In either case, terminals/joints should be wrapped w high voltage insulation tape carefully. Hello, I did the inspection you recommended and I found out there are marks like g...

Re: mA meter on 40w china laser

with 15mA it would not cut anything.. rather burn the tube than have a completely useless machine..

is this how the 35w laser tube is turned into a 40w? by running it at higher current?

Re: mA meter on 40w china laser

15mA sounds about right for a 40w tube. I believe there should be some kind of pot on your power supply with which you can decrease the power, but I'm by no means an expert so please wait until someone else comments before you go sticking a screwdriver into any holes on your laser PSU!

mA meter on 40w china laser

I have a analog dial type mA meter on my 40w china laser. It reads 25mA at max power, is this correct? I just read that the 40w laser should not be run at over 15mA?

Re: laser engraving problem

I think there are two problems. First make sure that laser beam Comes out of the nozzle centered. If not it could cause shadows. Second ist laser power when starting engraving. This could be caused by a laser tube which loses power. It's quit normal that a laser tube loses power after some time and ...
